The SLC Network
The Sustainable Living Challenge Teachers' Network (SLC_Net) is an online community of over 1000 dedicated teachers from all over Australia. It aims to link secondary teachers that are educating for sustainability and provide a space to share ideas, experiences and tips.
The SLC_Net is a moderated email list and is considered 'low volume'. There are strict protocols enforced by the team at the Sustainable Living Challenge to ensure its quality and utility for teachers is maintained. We vet all messages and manage the volume to avoid flooding your inbox!
The SLC_Net will provide:
-
Regular updates on the Sustainable Living Challenge;
-
Resource alerts, activity ideas and news items to keep you up to date with international sustainability education developments and teaching tools;
-
Notification of new resources and profiles that are posted to the Sustainable Living Challenge and Teach Sustainability websites;
-
Reminders about the program timeline, submissions, certificates and other important news for participating teachers in the Sustainable Living Challenge;
-
Access to a network of motivated teachers that are actively working with sustainability in the classroom to share ideas with;
-
An email 'hotline' should you need any assistance or support with your involvement in the Sustainable Living Challenge.
All teachers registered with the Sustainable Living Challenge are automatically registered as members of the SLC_Net. You can opt-out at any time.
SLC_Net was created to support innovative learning for sustainability in Australian schools. It aims to provide a forum for secondary teachers that fosters peer learning and exchange.
