Aims and objectives

The Sustainable Living Challenge aims to encourage young people to raise their awareness, engage their minds and develop their skills to be better able to respond to the challenge of sustainability in their future personal and professional lives.

Overview

A prestigious national schools program, the Sustainable Living Challenge is run in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme and is endorsed by the United Nations Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014).

History

The Sustainable Living Challenge was first established in 1998 as a pilot program with 10 schools in NSW. In 2000 it went national and is now fully run by Faculty of the Built Environment in partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme.
