The website is a resource hub for sustainability education material.

Find new resources to use in the classroom

This website has been designed specifically for Australian teachers to make it as easy as possible to find education resources on sustainable development that are suitable for a range of students and classes.

Using this website you can search for resources to use in the classroom – simply click on the LOOK-UP button, type in your key words and browse the material.

The education resources cover a wide range of sustainability issues – from climate change and energy consumption to poverty and fair trade. In most cases you can download the files you will need directly from the website – this is not just a list of weblinks.

Share your own resources with other teachers

The website has been designed as a space where teachers can share their resources with other educators. You can LOAD-UP your resources on to the database, sharing your knowledge and skills with other educators.

Each year, we will present the National Teach Sustainability Award for the most innovative sustainable education teaching materials that have been written by teachers. Click here for more information.

Learn from other teachers

New LESSONS FROM TEACHERS case studies are available from the website. These case studies document the experiences of NSW secondary teachers who have developed units of work about sustainability. They include a unit of work and a narrative, where experienced teachers share their reflections on delivering these lessons. They discuss how sustainability issues can be integrated into their subject area, the way they approach teaching the unit and the highlights and challenges they have encountered.

You can also LINK-UP and join our national network of over 1,000 school teachers and receive regular resources, weblinks and updates.

The site is moderated and maintained by the Sustainable Living Challenge team at the Faculty of the Built Environment, University of New South Wales. It is supported by the NSW Government through its Environmental Trust.
